The rain tyres on Uniroyal rainsport 3

Uniroyal Rainsport tiresThe previous model in the series (Rainsport 2) appeared on the market more than 10 years ago, and although it has been very popular among drivers until today and has received positive expert opinions, it is time to introduce its successor. Uniroyal's new rain tire has won the prestigious Red Dot Design Award. The jury particularly appreciated the innovative solutions used in the new model. Among the competitors, Uniroyal RainSport 3 stands out for its "shark skin" technology, which helps to effectively drain excess water from under the tire. The Red Dot Design Award is a prestigious prize awarded since 1955 by the Design Institute Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen located in Germany. The award is given in the field of industrial design, and projects from all over the world compete for it. In this year's edition alone, the new tire from the Belgian producer had to overcome 4,394 competitors from 57 countries to reach victory. A new model, in the drainage grooves, has microscopic incisions, which prevent the formation of liquid turbulence. This allows even faster drainage of water from under the tyre, and subsequently excellent handling and short braking distances on wet roads. This technology has been defined as "Shark Skin".Uniroyal Rainsport 3 is a tyre that has been equipped with an asymmetrical tread, the outer part of which is directional. Such a solution is to keep the parameters that were the best in the previous model, and to improve other performances (dry handling, noise and rolling resistance). Large blocks on the edge of the tire (in the "shoulder" area) improve braking and driving performance on dry roads. The tire has increased stiffness, which results in less deformation produced during driving. As a result, Uniroyal Rainsport 3 wears evenly and slowly and has low rolling resistance (low fuel consumption by the car). The asymmetrical tread design also provides better vibration damping, which reduces the noise generated during driving. Uniroyal Rainsport 3 is therefore more comfortable than its predecessor. On the labels, Uniroyal Rainsport 3 in all sizes received a Class A rating on wet roads, which confirmed its rain tire status. The rolling resistance of the tire is in most sizes the C class. Why are Uniroyal tires called rain tires? This is because Uniroyal specializes in producing the best tires for wet surfaces. Their excellent properties in these conditions provide specialized testing and feedback from thousands of drivers. Even in the brand logo is a distinctive umbrella. Regarding the mounting of the tire, it has the asymmetrical tread, but the outer part is directional. So, is one set of these tires divided into left, and right? No. It continues to be an asymmetrical tyre in which the rules that have to be respected are the ones on the mounting of this type of tyres (the sidewalls with the inscription Outside must be on the outside - after the mounting visible to a person looking at the side of the car). The direction of the tread channels is not important, as they work the same as the peripheral channels in a standard tyre.
